It just doesn’t compare to Charles White. Yes, a wonderful master but wow. The importance of White’s work, especially in this political climate, cannot be underestimated.
That doorway–gorgeous! You don’t see that out in the burbs. The sun kept peeking in and out of the clouds…which kept getting darker and darker. The theater row on Randolph Street is pretty impressive as well.

Agreed. Sargent was an amazing painter, but White’s work is both amazing and important, if that makes sense.
